Julie has a passion for youth. She exemplifies this by spending countless hours working with at-risk Williamsburg High School teens mentoring them from their freshman year through their senior year of high school. A result of Julie’s leadership and positive impact was when one of her students received a $32,000 scholarship to attend Xavier University. Over the course of 4 years, this at-risk teen was someone Julie encouraged to stay in school, reach for more than just the average things in life and to be a better person through community service and volunteer work.
